A recent study indicated that good sleep can help students to score well in a multiple choice examination. It stated that sleep can really reduce memory mistakes.

Initiated by a neuroscientist who belonged to Michigan University, the study is a part of the September issue of the famous journal Learning and memory. The assistant professor of MSU told that muddling things is really easy in mind. The incorrect part of memory can be teased in a better way after a good sleep.

Some of the famous personalities who belong to the university of Chicago and Washington University conducted studies on college students considering a few groups of them. While the previous researches focused on improving memory through sleep, this one is unique since the emphasis is on errors in memory.

The participants of the study were exposed to lists containing words and after 12 hours, they were exposed to words individually and they were made to find out the words they had been exposed to earlier. One of the groups was trained at 10 am in the morning and tested at 10 pm while the other group was trained during night and tested in the morning.
Different stimuli was used to conduct the experiments and in every case, it was revealed that the students who had good and longer hours of sleep made less number of mistakes than those who had fewer hours of sleep.
